August 7, 2007 - Draft Initial Plan Development Plan ("IPDP") Submittal
After a year of extensive planning efforts - working with the City of Hercules, Association of Bay Area Governments, East Bay Regional Park District, San Francisco Bay Area Water Transit Authority, Western Contra Costa Transit Authority, Union Pacific Railroad, and community members - Hercules Bayfront submitted its Draft IPDP to the City of Hercules.
March 29, 2007 - Community Workshop
Hercules Bayfront, LLC participated in a Community Workshop, presenting the enhancements to the waterfront master plan.
July 24 - 28, 2006 - Hercules Waterfront Charrette
Over 40 experts - planners, architects, engineers, soil and geotech consultants, transportation, parking and mobility, hydrology, contractors, finance and market research consultants - joined the property owners and City officials in a week-long Charrette to analyze the waterfront and enhance the master plan.
July 6 - 7, 2006 - Site and Precedent Visit
In preparation for the July 24th Charrette, an extensive site and precedent visit took place. Over the course of two full days, a team of architects and designers visited particular buildings located in Oakland, Berkeley, Old Town Sacramento, Nevada City, and Grass Valley. The building precedents at the different locations helped provide design ideas going into the upcoming Charrette.
